摘要
The paper reports the results of a study concerning the impact on the development and on the operation of the Italian power system of a significant penetration of plug-in electric vehicles with a focus on year 2030. To this aim, a scenario on the deployment of electric vehicles in the Italian market has been defined, together with specific charge profiles, differentiated in terms of concentration of demand in the evening and in the first hours of the night. The study showed that even a significant penetration of electric vehicles does not have a very high impact on the development and on the operation of the power system, even if it has positive effects on the overall CO2 emissions and on fossil fuel consumption. On the other hand, from the economic point of view, energy cost reductions allowed by electric mobility may be significant: these are the main benefits, besides the ones related to reduction of air pollution in urban areas.
