摘要
Ready for the plunge: A metal-organic framework with channels of approximately 6 Å in diameter lined with tert-butyl groups was synthesized (see picture). The structure shrinks after guest removal, and results in a highly hydrophobic porous material, which reversibly adsorbs most common gases (N2, O2, CO2, H2 and CH 4), but essentially shows no uptake of water under saturated water vapour pressure at room temperature. © 2011 Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
