摘要
Concurrent product and process design has been considered as an effective approach in enhancing the competitiveness of a product by considering all the related procedures at the early stage of product design. Stamping process, being one of the main forming methods, has already been widely used in industry. However, very little attention has been given to the issues about how to implement concurrent product and process design for stamped parts. In the present paper, a concurrent scheme of product and process design (CSPPD) for stamped parts is proposed. The key technologies in accomplishing the scheme, including feature extraction and recognition, feature transforming/mapping from design domain to manufacturing domain, machinability evaluation method and procedures of a product (part) etc.: are discussed in detail. Finally, the primary practice of CSPPD for a typical stamped parts also described.
