摘要
A phased array element antenna for Ka-band satellite communication is designed in this paper. The antenna is composed of eight layers, and the working frequency of the antenna is 19.6-22GHz. The microstrip line is split into two parts in order to provide power to the two radiation patches which result in the phase difference of electric field radiation of 90 degrees. This is the reason that circularly polarized waves are generated. Within the operating frequency, the max gain of the S11 is 6.7491dB with an omnidirectional radiation pattern in E-plane. The axial ratios are all below 3.5dB. The comparison between measured results and simulated results is also discussed.
