摘要
In the big-data era, more than 80 % of information exist electronically. Without a doubt, paper and microfilm are the best, long-lasting storage forms for archiving. However, this is not practicable for the huge amount of digitalized information that will need to be archived in the near future. To some extent, it is even impossible because of the enormous amount of disk space that will be needed for big-data in different kinds of archives. Archival storage depends on the corresponding programs and technology for the eternal use of the digitalization archives' information resources. This chapter discusses some useful and practical functions and applied-information technologies for the utilization of archival information resources.
