摘要
The paper deals with the active orthosis for paraplegic patients capable of providing near-normal gait developed and tested at the Department of Mechanics of the Politecnico di Torino. The actual on/off pneumatic control system is critically analysed and its limits are pointed out. In order to better reproduce the physiological gait, a continuous control based on pneumatic flow proportioning valves is designed. The performances of the new solution arc evaluated by means of a simulation model of the servosystem and different results are presented and discussed.
