摘要
This paper presents a conception for the modelling of a gear transmission system configuration. This conception is based on an engineering model and its equivalent graph model. The engineering model is represented by a collection of predefined parameterized engineering drawings of mechanical parts, while the graph model is derived from the engineering model with different level of details. The primitives used in the models include cylindrical gears, shafts, bearings and power input/output. Examples are used to demonstrate the usage of the graph model for analysis and evaluation of a gear transmission chain.
