摘要
This study is a meta-analysis relating to the information gain and information loss, in reading, analyzing, and interpretation of texts. It starts assertion that stake of any readings (analysis, interpretation, decoding, decryption, etc.) is a favorable and beneficial input / output ratio; any reading is intended as an advantage reading leading to information gain. (Reading can be of any type: scientific, literary critic, philosophy, sociology, logic, etc., and the information can be scientific, literary, philosophical, sociological, logic etc.) Recourse to Thomas Bayes's Theorem, to the researches of Mike Oaksford and Nick Chater, as well as the other specialists search works, it configures and defines a modality to calculate information gain and information loss. The conclusion is that a) there are two procedures to gain information (intrinsic procedure and extrinsic procedure) and b) in a consistent manner, there are several unfortunate and inevitable ways to information loss: bias, distortion, processing, shrinkage, condensation etc.
