摘要
This paper outlines the Dynamic Optimisation Framework that forms part of the System Architecture (SA) in phase II of the (ER)-R-2 Project. We describe the framework, how it interfaces with other relevant parts of the SA, and make reference to various existing protocols and standards that support this approach. We then demonstrate the generality of this framework by employing it in two distinct parts of the protocol stack, firstly the link layer and secondly the network layer. The link layer optimisation considers allocation of medium access resources to different types of traffic, with the goal of supporting throughput and packet delay Quality of Service metrics. The network layer example focuses on a set of component-based mobility management protocols with differing memory usage, response time and functional properties.
