摘要
The authors have developed a novel partial discharge (PD) monitoring system (PLC-PDMS) using a power line communication (PLC). This paper provides attempt to measure PD occurring in an artificial defect set in a simulated substation utilizing PLC-PDMS. Investigation was also made on the propagation characteristics of PLC and PD signals from ferrite core sensors attached to the ground wires of the simulated substation. As a result, it was found that PD signals detectable by PLC are propagating in the ground wire of the simulated substation, and PD measurement by PLC is possible.
