Choroid plexus infarction in a child

Infarction of the choroid plexus of the lateral ventricle is a rare condition, and was not previously described in a child. We describe an infarction of the choroid plexus of the lateral ventricle in a 10-year-old girl, diagnosed upon diffusion-weighted imaging. An infarction of the choroid plexus of the lateral ventricle suggests an embolic or occlusive stroke of the medial posterior choroidal artery. (c) 2007 by Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
