摘要
The increasing damage of cutaneous wound infection caused by harmful bacteria is an urgent challenge in nursing care. Herein, a new kind of skin wound dressing is reported by the incorporation of mesoporous CeO2 nanorods into the polycaprolactone (PCL) nanomembrane through an evaporation-induced self-assembly strategy. The nanocomposite membrane was investigated by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction analysis, and mechanical tensile testing. Also, the as-characterized robust PCL-CeO2 dressing shows high antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli, and Staphylococcus aureus, strong wound healing effect, and satisfied biocompatibility. This study indicates that the PCL-CeO2 nanocomposite dressing has great potential for cutaneous wound healing application in nursing care. (C) 2020 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
