摘要
Mathematical model of solidification and heat transfer of thick slab has been established based on the thick slab caster This model is revised and validated by the data obtained by infrared thermometer and pin-shooting method respectively Based of simulation results of the solidification process of X65 pipeline steel by using this model, the law of solidification end point varying with drawing speed and size of slab have been discussed. The results show that drawing speed and the thickness of slab have great influence on solidification end, while slab width has less effect. The model adopted is reliable and can be used to predict the position of final solidifying point and provide reasonable data for soft reduction.
