FT-Raman spectroscopy study on chemical structure of wood and contributions of wood components

摘要
In this paper, the FT-Raman spectra of three woods such as pine, birch and spruce, and some wood components such as cellulose, xylan (hemicellulose) and lignin are presented, respectively. With previously recorded spectra of two wood resins, it seems to be possible to interpret the chemical structure of wood and to understand the contributions of wood components in situ. In addition, based on observed spectra of woods, a suggestion referring to the quantitative distinction of hardwood and softwood was given.
