摘要
Squids, Deep sea shrimps and sea water were analysed for the presence of bioluminescent bacteria. Biochemical characterization of different isolates and species identification was done using simple taxonomic key used for classification of marine bioluminescent bacteria. Plasmid curing technique was performed to confirm the presence of lux genes in chromosomal DNA and not plasmid DNA of these bioluminescent bacteria.
