摘要
The Global File System (GFS) has MAWR (Multiple Access and Multiple Resource) as part of its fault tolerance. The structure of the distribution system is accessible from many different nodes which apply to the GFS. This distribution system structure utilizes a multiple port disk which is accessible by a physical multiple path. This structure provides an error free environment when GFS is in operation even though a fault exists in one of the nodes of the multiple access function. Multiple resources can be defined when the same cache resources are stored in may nodes during the distribution operation. The methods, disperse and store, originate from the same resource in many nodes which are performed naturally by the features within the GFS. When an unoccupied node requires support and cache resource is unavailable, a request is issued to the most recent cache resource of a node which has available resource. The node, which is requesting the recent cache support, stores within its own cache the received new cache resource. The identical stored resource is dispersed to be made useful to other nodes during a fault. The features of MAWR (Multiple Access Multiple Resource) scheme are implemented at the UNIX kernel on the IMEA for GFS file system.
