摘要
In this paper, an Electric Vehicle (EV) wireless charging system is presented. The proposed solution is designed to work without communication between primary and secondary side, reducing the system complexity. This approach is also known in literature as Secondary Side Controlled (SSC) system, being the control of power transfer totally managed from the secondary side. In these kind of systems, the primary and the secondary must be designed to work at a specific resonant frequency. A series-series compensation is used, and its design procedure is shown. The power delivered to the secondary coil will be managed from Full Active Rectifier (FAR). The FAR is designed to performs two main tasks simultaneously: the transmission efficiency maximization and the EV battery charging. Thanks to its simple topology, it is possible manage the received energy using a lower number of components compared to the solutions proposed in literature, allowing several benefits such as reduced size, weight and costs. A FAR efficiency analysis is provided and a comparison with a Semi Active Rectifier (SAR) is carried out.
