摘要
This paper examines reactive loading technique to achieve dual band operation and flirt her size reduction for double-sided printed dipole antennas. The reactive loads are realized by two balanced capacitively loaded loops (CLLs) placed close to the edge of the printed dipole antenna. It is demonstrated that the proposed loaded dipole antenna is a dual band radiator with sufficient gain suitable for applications such as mobile communication and Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) system. Finally, the CLL element is integrated with chip capacitor to provide a larger capacitance which in turn allows the resulting CLL element to resonate at a lower frequency. Prototypes of double resonant dipole antennas are designed and tested. A good agreement is achieved between measurement and simulation.
