摘要
This work aims to investigate the improvement the HPGe detector time resolution using signal shape analysis techniques. For this purpose a measurement using a coaxial HPGe detector, a LaBr3 scintillator and Co-60 gamma source was taken. The RS Pulse Shape Analysis algorithm was then applied to the experimental signals for extracting time information and the results obtained were compared with those obtained using a standard CFD. The results show a 50% improvement in time resolution (4 ns FWHM) when the RS algorithm is used instead of a standard CFD (8 ns FWHM) algorithm.
