摘要
Er3+-doped Li6Y(BO3)(3) single crystal with dimensions of phi 20 x 40 mm(3) has been grown by the Czochralski method and the accurate concentration of Er3+ ions in the crystal was measured. The structure of the grown crystal was proved by X-ray powder diffraction and its hygroscopic behavior was also studied. The absorption spectrum, fluorescence spectrum, and decay curve of the crystal were measured at room temperature. The spectroscopic parameters of the crystal were compared with those of other Er3+-doped crystals. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
