An empirical investigation of the construct of personality authority in late adolescent women and their level of college adjustment

摘要：
A random sample of 102 women students from a small private college were assessed concerning their levels of individuation, intimacy, intimidation, parental triangulation, and personal authority. These concepts formed the construct of Personal Authority and were tested as to their relationship to self-esteem, physical health, and college adjustment. Results generally supported better adjustment for those women who had higher levels of Personal Authority.
