摘要
The world now clearly present that the public does no longer take the technical skills for granted. A new kind of engineer is needed, an engineer who is fully aware of what is going on in society and who has the skills to deal with those societal aspects. Therefore, it is necessary to prepare the student with softskill, critical thinking and entrepreneurship skill besides competency in their technical skill. Minister of Higher Education supports university to instill the students with the softskill and human development like entrepreneur course and communication skill course. Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka takes the effort to offer technopreneur course to 411 year students. The course will facilitate undergraduates with the key technopreneurship motivation and skills as well as learn and acquire the principles and practices needed to form, enhance and expand their businesses. The "how", "how-to" teaching and learning activities that incorporates theories and practices, will help students acquire and develop the necessary competencies before embarking on any business projects. The course is designed to assist undergraduates in creating and innovating new business venture, acquiring a new business or undergraduates who wish to familiarize themselves with the concepts, issues and techniques of venture creation and technopreneurship. It will also assist them in understanding issues concerning marketing and strategic management, risks and uncertainties, business sustainability and explore growth opportunities by going international. Undergraduates will be provided with needed tools to generate cash flow statements and fundamentals in developing business plans.
