摘要
This article contains a way to foster understanding and dialogue between psychoanalytic perspectives. A model of mental functioning is proposed that uses a concept of unconscious metaphoric processes as its core concept. The model yields a neutral and purely psychoanalytic language capable of expressing the basic concepts and tenets of different psychoanalytic perspectives. It is suggested that through the terms of the language, similarities and differences may be clarified between the perspectives. If the proposed model is successful, it might be employed as a technical and pedagogical tool within psychoanalysis, as well as a psychoanalytic base from which to engage in interdisciplinary dialogue.
