摘要：
A model describing oscillations of nonlinear thin plates excited by patches made of piezoelectric ceramics is proposed. This model is the Karman system with discontinuous coefficients and additional terms related to piezoelectric properties of patches. Such a model is applicable to the case where the bending is much less than the longitudinal dimension of the plate. The existence of solutions of nonlinear equations describing such composite plates is stated.
