Uncertainty based on Dempster-Shafer theory

摘要
Uncertainty has multidimensional property such as fuzziness, nonspecificity, dissonance, discord etc. Shannon entropy can only measure the dissonance, the other property of uncertainty should be measured by different mathematic approaches including classical sets theory, fuzzy sets theory or possibility theory. This paper discusses the concept, type, application, difference of uncertainty in different theory, especially investigates the measure of uncertainty based on Dempster-Shafer theory, presents two functions V(M) and D(m) to measure the nonspecificity and discord of uncertainty respectively, at last a example is demonstrated to calculate the uncertainty of measurement data provided by two combined neutron sensors.
