DEVELOPMENT AND CHARACTERISTIC EVALUATION OF A NEW POLYMER OIL-DISPLACING AGENT USING FOR ENHANCED OIL RECOVERY

摘要
In some oilfields entering the late stage of development, the reservoir has a high water content and low oil and gas production efficiency, which leads to a decline in oil recovery. Therefore, polymer enhanced recovery has become a research focus. The high temperature resistant and temperature sensitive polymer oil-displacing agent was synthesized by atom transfer radical polymerization with the acrylamide, N-isopropylacrylamide, and N-vinylcaprolactam as monomers. In this paper, the structure was characterized by infrared spectroscopy and thermogravimetric analysis. The viscosity change characteristics and salt resistance were tested with a viscometer, and the interfacial tension between it and the crude oil was evaluated. At the same time, the core displacement experiment was used to evaluate oil displacement characteristics. The results show that the viscosity can reach 123.34mPa.s which the polymer concentration is 0.2%, and the viscosity retention rate is greater than 55% at a temperature of 100 degrees C, signifying that the temperature resistance is good. The polymer's interfacial tension decreases by 90% with the concentration increases, and salt resistance is stronger when compared with conventional HPAM polymer oil-displacing agents. When the concentration is the same with HPAM, the recovery rate increase rate of the polymer oil displacement agent is 10.7%, show that the polymer has excellent performance and good application prospects.
