摘要
Some loudspeaker manufacturers, such as Celestion Intel national, use models that have evolved over many decades and have been extensively tested. The consumer loudspeaker market is very competitive which requires a rapid design evolution. FEA modelling offers a tool that can be used to assist in the design process to potentially permit the consideration of radical design changes using non-standard components. We show how scalable performance for FEA modelling can be obtained by clustering commodity PCs running Windows NT using existing resources and networks. This has allowed Celestion Inter-national to change their design process with very little capital outlay.
