摘要
Young university students constitute the sector of the population that most compromises their sexual and reproductive health, since irresponsible sexual behavior, unwanted pregnancy and Sexually Transmitted Infections are relatively common problems detected iin this population. The objective of this study was evaluate the attitude towards the use of condoms in sexual practices of university students of a public institution in the city of Cali, Colombia. A descriptive study was carried out with a quentitative and cross-sectional approach, the sample was of 255 students selected by probabilistic sampling to whom selected by means of an assisted called rational use and rejection of condoms in sexual practices, was aplied via email. Among the most important results, we find that it is evidenced that the use of condoms with their stable partner is 41.2% (n=105) and when asked about the use of condoms with occasional partners, 68.6% (n=175) answered that they always use it, compared to the use of a condom in the first sexual intercourse, it was found that woman are the ones who are more careful, 54% used a condom, while 50% of men did. The most important conclusion is that the use of condoms with a stable partner decreases when compared with the use in occasional couples, for this reason it is necessary to strengthen campaigns to raise awareness about its use in all sexual relationships, especially when it is evident that in married couples 62% say they do not use a condom.
