Tolerance analysis of misalignment for 2D-MEMS free-space optical cross-connect

摘要
In this paper we present a 2D optical cross-connect (2D-OXC). The objective of this work is to evaluate the misalignment tolerances that are present in a 2D-OXC system. We introduce a misalignment analysis for three different cases: 1) longitudinal displacement offset between the input/output fiber and the collimating lens; 2) a transversal displacement offset between the input/output fiber and the collimating lens; and 3) a longitudinal and angular offset of the output fiber. We evaluate the system for collimating microlenses with different radii of curvature in order to maximize misalignment tolerances.
