摘要
This papers describes a working method aimed at increasing the success of IT-investments in water management. The method presented is based on the assumption that close involvement of the water manager is essential. This involvement must increase because the impact of IT for water management organisations is growing and IT is, therefore, becoming a strategic business tool. Emerging technologies in themselves are no solution when human and organisational factors make the difference. IMAGI allows water managers to play an active role by giving the water managers more insight into the benefits of IT. IMAGI basically harmonises the needs of a water manager and the opportunities offered by IT. The first results are encouraging.
