摘要
In this paper advances of a PhD thesis project on youngsters and adults' identity construction as English learners are presented. From a socio-anthropological approach of ethnographic nature, we set out to explore the manifestations of identity in the writing of a group of women who study at Tutorial Centers in Villa Maria city (Cordoba, Argentina) in order to complete their secondary education. In this article we analyze advances on the fieldwork in relation to the intersection of different theoretical constructs: identity in a foreign language, imagined identities, inversion and writing identity. Finally, we identify some analytic lines which allow us to argue that writing practices constitute a social context where English learners' identity is negotiated and constructed through their participation in activities with other actors, which gives identity its social and individual imprint.
