摘要
The penetration of electric vehicles is expected to boost the peak power demand which often leads to voltage limit violations in distribution grids. Hence, the Distribution System Operator (DSO) implements services that control the power exchange in the grid to avoid voltage violations. The service is implemented by the DSO by acquiring measurements and information from the grid and gathering them in Energy Management System (EMS) through automation architecture. However, the performance of the EMS is affected by the automation architecture and communication technologies. Hence in this paper, the authors study the sources of latency from the automation architecture and its impact on the performance of an energy management strategy for voltage limit violations.
