Theory of Josephson effect in grain boundary d-wave superconductors

摘要
Based on a general formula for the Josephson current in an anisotropic superconductor junction, Josephson current in the grain boundary junction is obtained. The maximum Josephson current and the position of the Free energy minima change dramatically depending on the angle between the normal to the interface and the crystal axis. The decrease of the Josephson current with the increase of alpha for 0 < alpha < pi/8 is consistent with previous experiments.
