摘要
This paper describes a rectenna system for HIPERLAN and IEEE 802.11/Wi-Fi applications at 5.8 GHz. The proposed structure uses a modified circular disk patch antenna to collect the electromagnetic energy, a low pass filter for suppressing high order harmonics, a matching circuit to establish matching between the antenna and the rectifier, and a half wave rectifier to convert RF to DC. The antenna resonates at three frequencies (5.8 GHz, 11.6 GHz and 13.2 GHz) and low pass filter cornered around 5.8 GHz removes the other two higher frequency component. For rectification purpose, a Schottky diode rectifier is characterized at 5.8 GHz and the proposed antenna structure is matched with it. The output DC voltage and overall efficiency are respectively higher than 116 mV and 67% at 1 mW/cm2 input power for a 2k Omega resistive load.
