Thermal properties of polycrystalline sintered SrY2O4

摘要
In order to study the applicability of SrY2O4 to thermal barrier coating (TBC) materials, the thermal expansion coefficient and thermal conductivity of SrY2O4 were evaluated. A polycrystalline sintered SrY2O4 was prepared by solid-state reactions of SrCO3 and Y2O3 at 1273 K, followed by spark plasma sintering at 1773 K. The thermal expansion coefficient was measured by using a high temperature X-ray diffraction analysis. The thermal diffusivity was measured by a laser flush method and the thermal conductivity was evaluated. The thermal conductivity of SrY2O4 is 7.4 W m(-1) K-1 at room temperature.
