A new species and new host records of phoridae (Diptera) associated with termites (Isoptera: Termitidae) in Kenya

The genus Mesopathusa Schmitz is synonymised with Puliciphora Dahl. Chonocephalus heymonsi Puliciphora decachete, whose hitherto unknown male is described, Puliciphora (= Mesopathusa) hirta, whose hitherto unknown male is described, P. sulcimanae Disney sp. n., Puliciphora sp. A (only known from a single male), Termitosagma henningsi and unidentified termitoxeniine larvae are recorded from, or in traps set beside, nests of Odontotermes species in Kenya. The bulk of the material dealt with in this paper was collected by JPEC, the taxonomic work was undertaken by RHLD. Most specimens were collected at a single termite nest in the grounds of the National Museum of Kenya in Nairobi.
