Environmental Protection and CSR -A Case Study of Xiaogan City in the Wuhan City Circle

摘要
Corporate social responsibility becomes an important issue along with the social-economic development. This is mainly because environmental pollution is getting increasingly serious along with the economic development. In order to effectively eliminate environmental problems, enterprises should take their social responsibilities in terms of protecting the environment, saving resources, utilizing resources high-efficiently and realize sustainable development. Xiaogan city is a core city of the Wuhan city circle, and it is one of the comprehensive reform trial places of the "two-oriented society" in China. In this article, the author introduces the current environment status of Xiaogan city, analyzes the necessity of CSR practices in terms of protecting resources and environment and puts forward the countermeasure for enterprises to fulfill environmental protection responsibilities.
