Use of zeolites and tuffs for agriculture and environmental protection

摘要
Zeolites have a high adsorption capacity, high selectivity to polar molecules and their pore size is comparable to that of large ions and organic colloids. The totality of their properties can be used as follows: 1. Decontamination of water fr om ions of heavy metals, radioactive elements, fine dispersed oil, ammonia, etc.; 2. Purification of air and removal of poisonous gases and odorous, use as deodorant; 3. Creation of organic-mineral fertilizer and soil conditioner. A complex study is making of the mineral-chemical, sorption and technological properties of some kinds of zeolites. Natural zeolites used for development of specific materials (goods) for: purification, softening, re-use of water; extraction of oil and oil-treatment pollution:; production of fertilizer on the base of animal husbandry waste and zeolites. The production technology for the zeolite-based materials will be developed.
