60-GHz Polarization-Diversity Compact Phased Array Antenna

摘要
A compact polarization-adjustable 2x2 phased array antenna is presented at 60 GHz frequency band. The array elements are dual-feed patch antennas fabricated using substrate technology. By adjusting the excitations of the antenna ports through the phased-array chipset, a quadri-polarization diversity antenna is achieved. The array beam can be steered for any selected polarization in both E- and H-planes. The impedance bandwidth covers all 4 WiGig frequency channels and the achieved gain at 60 GHz is 11 dBi.
