摘要：
This paper describes the development of apparatus for use in a geotechnical beam centrifuge that enables the exploration of the behaviour of existing pile foundations during unloading-reloading cycles on a kaolin clay sample. A comparison was made with similar tests incorporating a ring of supplementary mini-piles that were intended to enhance the capacity of single pile. The effects of model preparation and testing methods on the pile foundation performance were also investigated.
