摘要
We review three Colletotrichum species that reportedly infect ginseng (Panax species). C, dematium and C. coccodes are associated with P. quinquefolius in the United States. C. panacicola causes anthracnose of P, ginseng in Korea, China, eastern Russia, and Japan. C. dematium and C. coccodes are cosmopolitan fungi reported from many plant hosts. C. panacicola is limited to P, ginseng. The correct author citation for this taxon is C. panacicola Uyeda & S. Takim. No types nor authentic specimens of C. panacicola could be located; the taxon remains untypified. Descriptions and illustrations of C. panacicola closely resemble those of C. coccodes.
