摘要
As at the year 2025, millennial are going to make up 75% of the global workforce with their independent-thinking and entrepreneurial mind set is changing the future of employment. It is now a trend for independent employment since the increasing number of millennial entrepreneurs in Malaysia. Past literatures claimed that social competency is the key elements towards the development of entrepreneurial creation and has become as one of the most significant competency towards a successful entrepreneurship. However, it takes structural social capital as the antecedent in empowering the social competency among millennial entrepreneurs. The dimension within social competency is social perception, social awareness and expressiveness. A total of 155 respondents which consists of millennial entrepreneurs were derived in this study and findings had shown a positive relationship between structural social capital and all of the dimensions on social competency.
