摘要
End-tidal CO2 is an exciting technology that has several potential applications in the pediatric emergency department. Besides being useful in verifying endotracheal tube position, it has the potential of being a powerful noninvasive monitoring tool during CPR, shock, respiratory distress, seizures, asthma, and procedural sedation. Further clinical studies are needed to define the role of capnometry in pediatric emergency medicine.
