A test was conducted to investigate the performance of a new type of gas trap for the International Space Station (ISS) Internal Thermal Control System (ITCS). The new gas trap holds entrained bubbles and allows them to dissolve into the flowstream. A test was performed using a prototypic gas trap to investigate the dissolution rate of trapped air bubbles. The test results are compared to the available theory, and a recommendation for the most accurate dissolution rate prediction is made.
