Fast Multirate Numerical Integration Scheme for Large-scale Traffic Simulation

摘要
Fast multirate numerical method is developed for microscopic vehicular traffic models. A priori component-wise error estimation is suggested. The stability analysis for developed multirate numerical integration scheme is evaluated. Necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained. The micro time step for each component is defined at the beginning of every macro time step on the basis of the error estimation and stability conditions.
