摘要：
On the background of the challenges from distributed data mining and the development of Grid, the Data Mining Grid (DMG) is emerging. DMG is the combination of the data mining and the grid computing, which can satisfy the needs of data mining and knowledge discovery for business in a grid computing environment. This paper proposed an architecture of DMG and explains mechanism for DMG. A system prototype of MDG is designed too. Finally, two of the most important issues, which are the design of the metadata service in DMG and the distributed data mining algorithm, are investigated.
