Trend of a present color management technology in the industry

With the development of color reproducing devices. many people are becoming involved in the creation and rendition of color images. This new trend is leading to heigher awareness of importance of color management. This paper introduces recent color management system based on the color conversion between device dependent and device-independent color space. In addition, we pointed out the problem related to the color conversion. Then, we demonstrates that a neural network is effective to perform a color conversion for color management in order to achieve the matching of colors reproduced by different media. Furthermore: the problem of illuminant-dependence of color conversion: and the proposed illuminant-independent color conversion method based on the spectral reflectance approximation are addressed.
