摘要
A theory is discussed for magnetoelectric (ME) interactions at electromechanical resonance in a heterogeneous ferromagnetic-piezoelectric three-layer structure. An expression has been obtained for the transverse ME coefficients alpha(E,T) as a function of interface coupling beta between the layers. For 0 <beta < 1, the theory predicts resonance enhancement of alpha(E,T) at two interrelated radial modes. As beta is increased from 0, the low-frequency resonance occurs at progressively increasing frequency until it merges with the high-frequency mode when beta=1. These predictions are in general agreement with representative data for a permendur-PZT-permendur trilayer composite. (c) 2007 American Institute of Physics.
