摘要
The study was focused on unmodified (control form) and genetically modified flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) "Linola" variety, which constitutes a source of new bio-active compounds for industrial use. The anatomical structure of the seeds, with particular emphasis on seed coat, was the primary subject of conducted analyses. The study provided a detailed characteristics of all studied types. The study also allowed the evaluation of differences and similarities between genetically modified forms as well as the control form (unmodified) in varying sowing densities (400, 600 and 800 seeds/m(2)). No significant differences were found between particular flaxseed types with regard to the anatomical structure of embryo and endosperm.
