摘要
Based on the high compressibility and low strength properties of soft soil, the questions of stableness and large settlement must be solved in reinforced soft foundation. So far the normal calculating method of settlement is one-dimensional consolidation idea, exists many difficulties. The finite element method needs a progress. It can not be used in practices perfectly. So the traditional one-dimensional consolidation idea is still used in practice. But the results do not agree well with the value of practical engineering. For reaching the aim that the calculated value is close to the plactical value, mastering the properties of soil and collecting the calculation indexes are more important than the calculating methods. In this paper, the settlement of soft soil of a highway in Hebei, China is studied. In order to getting a rational modification coefficient, Plaxis Code value, the experience formula value and the theory formula value are compared with the measured data. The results are consultable for the work that is further studied for the settlement calculation.
